Khovratov has been active in the investment business since 1997 and began teaching investment and finance in 2002. In 2018, he was named Business Trainer and Coach of the Year by the Russian magazine Finance Times, as well as received the Russian awards Entrepreneur of the Year and Glory in Business.

Khovratov's best-known project is the Private Investor Academy – an online education program that counts 300,000 graduates from 55 countries. Khovratov also founded the NEEMI group of companies with a total of 750,000 customers in 189 countries, as well as the investment company CryptoUnit Inc.

Apart from his coaching, investment and entrepreneurial activities, Khovratov often speaks at investment events and hosts his own TV show, called Secrets of the Millionaires.
