Firstly, just at the beginning of the 20th century, scientists discovered that the human brain consists of 90% glial cells, at first glance supposedly useless. At the moment, it has already become known that these cells are not useless at all, but perform the role of the most complex routers and provide communication between the neurons of the brain. Moreover, it was found that the more of these cells in the brain, the better it works and the smarter a person is.
Secondly, at the same time, scientists realized that different parts of the brain are active at different times, i.e. at the same time, the whole brain really does not work. By the way, when the whole brain is triggered at the same time, i.e. all its parts, then a person has an epileptic seizure, this is known to happen, but it hardly pulls on superpowers. However, after hearing about these scientific discoveries, journalists immediately twisted everything in their own way, so that it looked like a sensation. However, and so far there has not been a single really scientific study that would claim that the brain works for a certain small percentage of its capabilities.
