The managing director of the German association of medium-sized companies BVMW, Christoph Ahlhaus, was alarmed. "These numbers are more than just a warning shot," he said. "We're on the brink of a fat wave of bankruptcies, and the really bad thing about it? Unfortunately, Germany plays a rather sad leading role here. These are homemade problems. Now it's over with the euphemistic words from politics."
